Patrick M. Poisson
Exocet is owned by Patrick M.
Poisson, a freelance designer and metalsmith. After graduating from the
University of Toronto with an M.A. in Art History he went on to work and
study at various art museums and galleries such as the Smithsonian
Institution in Washington D.C., the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery in
Toronto and the Museum of FineArts in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Creating art,
particularly drawing and painting, was secondary during these years
until he came into contact with metal as a medium. Today he is
commissioned to design and build architectural components and decorative
objects as well as create sculpture for residential and commercial
spaces.
Stéphane Schwab
During the past twenty years, Stéphane Schwab has acquired professional
experience as a metalsmith. After completing four years of technical
training, he honed his skills in metal fabrication and installation in
several workshops. Over the years he participated in various projects
in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Following
management training, he became a foreman in charge of 10 shop
employees and two teams of installers while helping to train four
apprentices. As a metalsmith his knowledge extends to all that is made
of metal in a home: stairs, railings, furniture, solariums, glass
facades, light framework, entrance doors, garage doors and sheetmetal
work. He also works with a variety of metals, including steel,
stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper.
